Big succulent PRAWNS

Char Koay Teow - RM6.50 -
one of the most expensive CKT's in Penang

Ice Kacang
- the coffee shop next to Heng Huat Cafe serves better ice kacang compared to this one -

 - CKT aunty who used to be rather arrogant and told people off for not being able to wait -
# Nov 2009 : aunty is now much better (no more scolding) and CKT is being served to the table w/o having to queue/serve it yourself

Spice Market Cafe International Buffet, Shangri-la Rasa Sayang Hotel Penang

Wider selection of sashimi : Salmon, Tuna , Butter Fish
+ also have - prawns, octopus etc +

Top dish : Salmon sashimi
Top dish : Chuka Idako (big sized baby octopus)

Top dish : Fresh Prawns (look for the bigger ones)
 Slipper lobster (quite tasteless)

Black chicken herbal soup

Wide selection of desserts

Top dish : Crepes + Ice cream
- choose ur own filling for the crepes -
+ strawberry,blueberry,jam,kaya,butter,choc chips etc etc +

Ice cream with almond flakes & choc chips
+ take as much as u like +

If you're looking to make your money worth it, this is not the place to go as you'll only concentrate on the sashimi, prawns & chuka idako ( Kampachi buffet @ Equatorial Hotel would be a better choice then).

The buffet spread such as satays, tandoori, breads, chinese dishes, noodles, roast lamb, cheese, salads & curries did not really interest me at all.

Although the desserts spread looked great, it was juz above average in terms of taste. Nothing that great so don't waste your money if you're just thinking bout desserts.

PS : they only served plain water & coffee/tea (i think)... no other juices/drinks included ( all have to be separately paid for)
